Where Weingart Stadium Is

Weingart Stadium sits on East Los Angeles College’s East Campus at 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park, CA 91754. The college serves communities including Maywood, though its campus address is in Monterey Park. On the campus map, the stadium is marked B5.

From Maywood Inn, it’s about a 13-minute drive to the stadium. If you’re planning a campus visit around an event, use the map’s B5 label to locate the venue.

Events and the Stadium Setting

Events and the Stadium Setting

Weingart Stadium is part of East Los Angeles College, often shortened to ELAC. The college’s stadium and auditorium were built in 1951. ELAC also hosted swimming and field hockey events during the 1984 Olympics; Weingart Stadium hosted all the field hockey matches.

Soccer matches are among the events held at the stadium. Event schedules and venues can vary, so look up the specific game or event you plan to attend rather than relying on a general schedule.

Tickets, Entry, and Venue Policies

ELAC says faculty, staff, and students may attend all on-campus sporting events free. For event-specific information, its listings direct visitors to ELAC Athletics. That does not establish the ticket arrangements for every attendee or event, so check the listing for the event you have in mind.

General event listings do not specify standard gate opening times, event-specific entry rules, prohibited items, or a bag policy for Weingart Stadium. Confirm these details with ELAC Athletics before you go, especially if you need to plan your arrival around a particular entry time.

The campus map identifies a Sheriff’s Office at B5-104. ELAC lists its Sheriff’s Station as open 24 hours and gives the phone number as 323-265-8800. The campus is a no-smoking campus.

Parking and Getting There from Maywood

Parking and Getting There from Maywood

The campus map shows a Stadium Parking Lot, Parking Structures 3 and 4, and a Transit Center. ELAC lists a $2 visitor daily parking permit for the Stadium Parking Lot and Parking Structures 3 and 4. Permits are first-come, first-served, and having one does not guarantee a space; vehicles in campus lots must display a valid permit.

Permit payment machines are listed at the center of the Stadium Parking Lot, on Level 6 of Parking Structure 3, and on Level 5 of Parking Structure 4. The Transit Center is beside the campus express connection to the Southeast Campus, but the map does not give event-day bus routes or schedules.

For current permit details and campus information, check the official site before you go: East Los Angeles College.

Planning Around Event Day

Start with ELAC’s official campus-life Events calendar to confirm the event date, time, and venue. Then check ELAC Athletics for event details, and review the parking information if you plan to drive. This sequence helps you confirm the basics before setting out without assuming every event uses the same arrangements.

Leave room in your plan to find parking and make your way to B5; campus parking is not guaranteed, even with a permit.

For entry timing, bags, and other event-specific policies, rely on the information for the particular listing, since the general calendar does not provide standard stadium rules. If the Vincent Price Art Museum is also on your itinerary, see this guide to visiting the museum.
